Everytime I start up my compute it shows the asus screen and then just goes straight to bios and occasionally upon restart it will say no media present and no matter what I do I can’t be it to work

Screen goes blue / black on start of atitool

i tried 0.26 and the new beta but its the same... if i start atitool the screen immidiately goes blue or black and i have to reboot... the computer doesnt really hang but the screen seems to be lost.
any suggestions? i dont have any other programs running, i dont even want to OC my card i just want to have control over the fan speed, i have a x1800xt btw.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that's not a software related issue which is why I was suggesting that you remove the video card to start with since it's such an easy process of elimination step.

I'm not familiar with AMD CPUs, I did see that you had listed in your system specs but I had no idea whether or not it has an iGPU

Is there any possibility of you being able to get your hands on any compatible video card at all?it would be the easiest step to try to troubleshoot or at least one of the easier ones. You should be able to get into the bios without anything but A display cable hooked up to the motherboard

 

Laptop goes into bios everytime.

I tried doing what you suggested but I screwed up so bad earlier that whenever I reboot the laptop it goes straight into the bios (F2) even though I don't press it every time. So when I press F9 instead of getting the option you said it would I just activate the restore to default settings on the bios because it goes straight into the bios after the logo.

EDIT: Is there a way to do anything to fix it here from the bios or is the only way to get windows 10 iso and just work it from there.
