Here is an example of the issue https://imgur.com/a/yN2D1VjHDR is disabled. I have tried restarting the computer. I have tried enabling and disabling HDR. I have tried repairing and resetting snipping tool, as well as completely reinstalling it. I don't think it is a snipping tool issue anymore as I had the same issue occur on Greenshot. I have tried saving the screenshot and pasting it to Photoshop. When I paste the screenshot to Paint, it displays correct colors until I save the image, then the desaturation occurs. Windows 10 Photo Viewer's desaturated colors

My laptop = HP Envy x360 convertible 15m xxxx (fully up to date)

I have been having the issue with desaturated colors in Windows 10.

The screen is calibrated. Photos in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop are correct. Photos displayed on websites i use are correct (i.e zenfolio). Printed photos are correct.

Windows 10 default photo viewer, image thumbnails and Windows 10 Instagram App(while uploading) are all desaturated.

I have searched numerous time for a solution and I have tried different ICC profiles, nothing has fixed this issue.

At this point it's more of an annoyance than anything. I am concerned however clients will open photo files and see desaturated photos.

This was never an issue on Win 7,8x.

Any help towards finding a solution would be greatly appreciated.

 

All images desaturated when opened in any application... How do I fix this?

I've been working in Autodesk Maya and rendering scenes with Arnold and recently noticed that the saved rendered image files are all desaturated. Not only that, but I've found that every other image I open with the photos app has been desaturated. This has happened with both .jpg and .png files.

There is a period of a few frames upon first opening any image in which the color saturation is correct before becoming desaturated. If I go into the editing mode from the photos app, the color is correct. However, if I open my images in Photoshop, I see that they are still desaturated.

I am completely lost regarding this issue. I am running Windows 10 and have not had this issue until today. I'm wondering if there was a recent update that has messed with the way that color correction operates or how image files are handled. Any help would be much appreciated.

The laptop has always shown red wrong.
