Windows 10: Everytime I try to add my son to my account on the web app it keeps saying "The Request is...

as the question states. Ive tried other fixes noted in other posts, clearing caches, trying different browsers etc..

Authenticator App - Automatic Request Timeout

I'm using Authenticator app for 2FA and up till now worked fine - I would get a request in the app to confirm the number displayed in browser and then confirm with my fingerprint. However recently everytime a request is triggered, the number flashes for
second and then automatically fails to "Request Timeout" message. I still get the request in the app but its too late by then.

To log in I have to re-enter my password and then enter the One-time password code in the app.

I tried the following:

• removing the accounts from the app,
• removing the app and re-installing it and re-adding the account
• disabling and then re-enabling MFA in security settings in my account

My son gets repeated, annoying requests to "verify" his microsoft account. He is a child on my main account

My son says that "every few minutes," as many as 20 times a day, he is asked to "verify" his microsoft account.

Apparently, he is just asked to click a box. He does this and can keep using the computer.

How can we get this behavior to stop? I have the main account, and he is listed as a family member.
