Windows 10: Excel- running/moving monthly average

Discus and support Excel- running/moving monthly average in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; Columns: A: date B: gallons filled I: gallons used Rows: Fill in each day that a car is used and each fill-up.     Excel- running/moving monthly average


    Columns:
    A: date
    B: gallons filled
    I: gallons used

    Rows:
    Fill in each day that a car is used and each fill-up. Could be 10 rows, could be 100 rows.

    I'm making a vehicular fuel tracker. Each fill-up and daily trips are tracked. It'd be easy enough to calculate a monthly average for a complete year, but I want to show a monthly average for the information available at any given time. I currently have 4 months in the tracker and want it to give me a monthly average. I'd think that I'd only...

    average formula will not average

    I can see three serious problems:

    • The "IfError" function suppresses all errors in your formula. You must omit it while debugging the formula.
    • You cannot use the "Search" function for a range of cells, only for strings.
    • You are posting in the wrong forum (same as you did in January). For a formula as complex as this one you must go to a dedicated Excel forum. Remember to reveal the whole purpose of the formula when reposting instead of just casually throwing in the term
      "Average".

    The multiple Excel process running on your Windows 10 device might be due to a misconfiguration of your add-ins or extensions. That being said, we'll need more information to properly address your concern. Please answer the following:

    • When did the issue start?
    • Does the issue occur after startup?
    • Are you getting any error messages?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
    • Are you using a macro on any of your workbooks?

    In the meantime, we recommend running Excel in safe mode to identify if any of your add-ins or extensions is causing the issue to happen. For the steps on how to run Excel in safe mode, please refer to this

    Follow the steps under the section: Use the /safe option to open an Office application.
