    I keep a spreadsheet of blood pressure readings which I give to my GP to enable him to see a better picture of my condition.The format is 119/79/75 125/84/69 107/69/73 114/74/75 135/91/73 126/81/85 128/76/78 137/82/63 124/79/69etc on a daily basis..My GP asked if it would be possible to obtain an average at the bottom of each column, but I thought no, as each cell contains 3 variables.Am I wrong, or is there a formula to do this?

    My GP asked if it would be possible to obtain an average at the bottom of each column, but I thought no, as each cell contains 3 variables.

    Am I wrong, or is there a formula to do this?

    Hello, this is Emily.

    I am not a doctor, but I believe blood pressure is measured by systolic/diastolic, so I am not sure what the third variable in your example means.

    Either way, instead of putting all three variables into one cell, enter them into three cells in the same row. Then the next number will be on the next row. This way you can do average for each column.
