Windows 10: Excel spreadsheet migrates from one monitor to another after monitors sleep or are turned off

On new Windows 10 desktop, an Excel spreadsheet open on monitor 2 keeps migrating to monitor 1 when monitors are asleep. How do I keep the spreadsheet on the monitor I left it on?

So I have a dual monitor setup, Win10 x64. I had a previous install, which worked fine on both monitors. They are supposed to turn off the display after 15 minutes.

After a clean install, they turn off after 15 minutes - but one of them turns power off completely, moving everything on it to the other monitor.

I have checked power settings. Definitely does not say power off, and anyway, it only happens to my one monitor, not the other. They both worked fine physically before.

Are you using Desktop or Laptop?

In Power Option, you may set to turn off Monitor after system was idle for amount which you select.

You may also click to put system into sleep and that's would turn off monitor .

 

Windows 10 One Monitor Not Waking After Sleep or Screen Off


Hi. I have a dual-monitor setup and one of my monitors won't wake after sleep or after the screen turns off. I recently upgrading to Windows 10. All my drivers are updated. The monitor works completely fine before the screen turns off. The screen is black at the lock screen and after logging but I can still move windows and programs onto that monitor. The problem is fixed after restarting but I don't want to restart my computer everytime my computer goes to sleep or when the screen turns off.
