Windows 10: Excel wont open and my computer has randomly restarted 6 time in one day.

In the last couple month my Excel wont open. I get a message asking if I want to start in Safe Mode. If I select no it immediately closes the program. If I select yes it says. "Excel has detected that you have recovered files. Those files will be opened the next time you start Excel in normal mode." and after pressing ok it also closes immediately. The second issue is that my pc will randomly restart itself. Whether I'm just listening to YouTube or doing a quote in Excel. And I'm not seeing anything in the Event Viewer but maybe I missed it.System SpecsSU: Corsair RM750eCPU: i5-11400No GPUM

  How did you upgraded to Windows 10 through Windows update or Windows 10 ISO?

Method 1.

I suggest you to check the settings, if the automatic restart is set on the system.

  Open file explorer and click on Computer on the top pane.
  
• 
  Click on System properties and click on
  Advanced system settings.

  Now click on Advanced tab and click on
  Settings button on Startup and Recovery option.
  
• 
  Uncheck on Automatically restart.
  

If the issue still persist try the below methods.

Method 2.

I suggest you to boot the system in Clean boot state and check if the issue still persist.
Clean boot process will help you determine which third party program/app that is causing this issue. It could be some other application or programs, which runs on the computer at the background, leading to this issue. Please visit the below link

Excel files opening in chrome

EXCEL files saved in SHARED SERVER open in Chrome by default. When I try to select what they should open in, EXCEL is not listed as an option.

HOWEVER, EXCEL files saved in PC Open to EXCEL Correctly and listed as EXCEL files as well.

Why are the Shared server EXCEL files opening only in chrome?

I have checked all the default program and Excel is listed in the system but not as an option when I try to open EXCEL files from Shared server.

Please help. This is a new computer, just finished setting up, Office 365 has been a nightmare all day.
