    Dear Microsoft,

I would like to now why my Windows 10 updates has taken over 8 hours?

There is no progress update, its stuck on 99%, for all I know the desktop PC could be hanging, so now I face the prospect of leaving my PC on overnight. I am using wired fast internet broadband connection, there really are no excuses.

Updates were never like this on Vista or Windows XP. If so much needs to be updated then why not send out an update disk rather than having to endure the pain of these excessively long update times.

Its like waiting for the bus that never comes.

    Kind regards

    Steve

  2. Data trough 4G mobile broadband connection blocked when ethernet connected

    Hi Robert,

It appears that Windows is managing your connection. It only allows you to connect to your mobile broadband connection if you're not connected to either Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. To work around this behavior, I suggest disabling this feature to allow
you to manually connect to your cellular or mobile connection. Please follow these steps:

    1. Navigate to Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular.
    2. Uncheck the box for Let Windows manage this connection.
    3. Once done, try connecting manually to your mobile broadband while Ethernet is connected and see if it works.

For more information about mobile broadband connection, please check out,

    .

Please update this thread with the result so I'll be able to assist you further if needed.

    Regards.

  3. want to connect 2 wired routers to 1 broadband connection

    hey guys,
here is my problem i want to connect two wired routers which both of them are billion bipac 5200s , plz refer [http://www.billion.com/_Internet/usermanual/BIPAC5200seriesUM.pdf"] to know more about the router.both of them use the same settings. both of them are ADSL Modem/Router and they are having DHCP Server:Enabled, Connection Type*Stick Out Tongue Excessive waiting times for Windows 10 updates using wired fast broadband connection. :pPPoE, NAT Status:activated.

so basically one of the router is connected in my office which is around one mile away from my home and the other router is in my home ,but luckily the internet connection wire which is a single pair adsl wire , so its basically not an rj45 connection its only a simple wire that the broadband operators give here in india that i took for my office, is going from the top of my house to my office so what i did is i cut the wire on top of my house and joined a peice of adsl wire to it till my house and then joined it to the 2nd router so the wire is connected to both the routers.i made both the routers to work.

now i want to use both the routers at the same time but what happens is that when i try to connect both of them only one works while the other router does not connect to the internet, so plz can anyone suggest me any changes in the setting of the router to be made in order to connect both the routers to the internet at the same time.

i cant use wireless solution as it is too far and also cannot use ethernet wire.
so can chaging of seetings in router affect the use.

    thanks guys in advance,

and hope to find any solution

Excessive waiting times for Windows 10 updates using wired fast broadband connection.

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond Excessive waiting times for Windows 10 updates using wired fast broadband connection. :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.
