Windows 10: Exchange 2019 Public folders access

Hi, Sorry if i don't be in the right place and for my english ton Exchange 2019 version15.2.1118.12, i tried to put access for an user to two public foldersI tried on GUI and Powershell Get-PublicFolderClientPermission -identity "****" Remove-PublicFolderClientPermission -Identity "****" -User "****" add-PublicFolderClientPermission -Identity "****" -User "****" -AccessRights PublishingEditorGet-PublicFolderClientPermission -identity "****" I see the user on the last get-public folder client permission.However the user doesn't see the folders on OutlookCould you please help me ?

No. Public folders never seem to make it high enough on the "to do list" to get included. Even though Exchange ActiveSync access is greatly improved, it isn't there. This I believe requries work on the Exchange server too as the EAS component doesn't give
visiblity to public folders.

You could try accessing via Outlook Web Access but 1) I haven't tried that to see if it works and 2) it is a download only situation, not a sync situation.

Do Windows Phone 7 and mobile OUtlook have access to Exchange Public Folders?

I believe Sharepoint access is there, but not sure about Outlook.

 

Duplicate Public Folders

Hope this helps someone identify the problem.

• Q: What happens when you delete the duplicate folders?
• A: Nothing. They're successfully deleted.

• Q: Does it happen to all of your folders or only those with pictures?
  • A: Only the default Public Folders (Documents, Pictures, Music, Videos).
  • A: All of the Public Folders have customized folder icons.
  • A: The above image shows yellow, empty folder icons (duplicates).

• Q: Any steps you've tried to troubleshoot this issue?
  • Actually, this has been a problem since Windows 7.
  • What I noticed then is that certain Windows programs created the duplicates:
    • Windows Media Player (stopped using)
    • Internet Explorer (stopped using)
    • Plus others, which I can't recall.
  • Only certain programs for Windows 10, as well:
    • Microsoft Edge (don't use it often)
      
    • Groove Music (never intentionally use it)
      
    • Plus others, which I haven't tracked.
      • I only notice it when I go to Public Folders.
      • By then, I've long since forgotten what was accessed.
  • I've googled for answers but most of those only address
    moving the Public Folders to another Drive.
