Windows 10: excluding downloads

Discus and support excluding downloads in AntiVirus, Firewalls and System Security to solve the problem; im trying to download a file for a game and windows defender is deleting it says its a virus how to i exclude downloads...     File History won't exclude folders

    I just tried to exclude C:\Users\Donny\Downloads using the legacy control panel File History interface. When I clicked "Select Folder" the folder was added to the excluded folders list. When I clicked "Save changes" and went back into the excluded folders
    list, C:\Users\Donny\Downloads was not listed at all.

    So certainly not fixed for me.

    How Can I Exclude Windows Printer Driver Updates?

    Hi Shawn,

    We appreciate the workaround you've provided in this thread to help more people who has the same issue. As another suggestion, we advise that you do these steps to exclude driver update during Windows 10 updates. Here are the steps:

    • Open Settings.
    • Click Update and security.
    • Go to Windows Update.
    • Select Advanced options link.
    • Clear the Include driver updates when I update Windows option to complete the task.

    • What do you mean by excluding sub-folder from the music collection?
    • What exactly are you trying to accomplish by excluding the sub-folder?
