Windows 10: .exe applications are displaying the same icon

Once in a while, I meet this bug. Some icons, and the .exe files are displaying one icon of another app. In my current case is the icon of VLC player. After uninstall VLC player, rebuild icon cache, run sfc scan, nothing seemed to work. The only method that worked once was setting the scale and layout from 100% to 125% and reverse, but every icons were the same vlc one again.Beside of switching to another Windows User, what could I do to fix this problem

Hi,

I want to develop a Kiosk style application for windows mobile 5 (and 6). One of the first steps is having a form which displays icons of allowed applications. How should I do this? Should this be picture boxes which I set the application to kick off
when clicked? How do I display the icon from the allowed exe in the picture box?

  Are referring any application when you say fn menu?
  

I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check smart audio is listed under icons appear on task bar.

• 
  On system tray right click on date and time
  
• 
  Click on customize notification icon
  
• 
  Click on Select which icons appear on task bar
  
• 
  And see if you are able to see Conexant smart audio

You don't need to look for .exe file if you already download and installed the application. We suggest that you look for the icon of the application. Kindly locate it by following the steps below:

• Press Windows key and type Instapic in the Search box.
• Right-click Instapic and select Open file location.
• Right-click Instapic, select Send to and then choose
  Desktop (create shortcut).
