Windows 10: exe file wont open in windows 10

In windows 10 Pro when trying to open a small .exe file the uac pops up but when i click 'yes' nothing happens. the certificate of this program is valid, windows defender does not detect any viruses, MSERT.exe did not detect any viruses and I have redownloaded the small .exe file several times from a legit web site. I had someone send me a zip file of the exe file in question but it still does not work. Short of resetting my entire windows does anyone have any clues. In case anyone is interested I have purchased program called easy audio copy which works vey nicely in extracting songs from a music cd. The problem file in question is called 'easy audio copy advanced options' 612 kb-just cannot open in my windows.

• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”

.exe file wont run


So I'm trying to open a .exe file but all it does is show the blue loading circle and it doesn't do anything. The file wont open and when I try to download the file again it wont open. I'm currently running a windows 10. Can anyone help?

We suggest that you try to reinstall Antivirus and see if it helps.

You can also run a System File Checker (SFC) scan to check for any file corruption. SFC scan will scan for corrupt system files on the computer and repair them. Please see the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X.
• Click Command Prompts (Admin)
• In the Command Prompt, type the following command and press Enter:
  sfc /scannow
