Windows 10: Existing ports list is blank when trying to add a local/network printer

Hi all,I always used to use the Adobe PDF printer when trying to create PDFs from other files, but since installing Creative Cloud, that option has been missing. After looking into it, every guide tells me to add the printer manually using the add printer settings Devices and printers > The printer that I want isn't listed > Add a local or network printer with manual settings > Use an existing port > Documents\*.pdf Adobe PDF, but for me, that last step isn't present, nor are any other ports that are listed in the images that are shown, it's just a blank list. Can anyone help me

Add printer does not show any ports

I am trying to manually add a network printer. When I click the Add printer choice from Devices and Printers, after I restart the balky Print Spooler, the screen lets me choose My printer isn't listed. I click on that choice, then get to the screen about
selecting a port. The existing port list is blank, and the create a port selection is grayed out. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

I have had 3 windows 10 computers with this recent problem. The printer ports list is incomplete with missing "created by me local ports" (standard ports are visible and fine). If I try to add a missing port back in the list I get a message the port already
exists. Yet I cannot assign a missing port to a printer. Happens after a reboot from update (1903) or power outage (after 1903 update) Update 2004 does not fix the problem. ty

When you loose the local ports you have to delete the printer and restart Windows to create again the local port, is the only way you can re-install and assign the local port to a printer.

I have same problem and could say that the error doesn't happen when shutting down the computer (assuming is working because the Windows 10 fast startup), it only happens when restarting Windows (Microsoft please help)

It's weird because when you restart Windows and check printer properties you don't see the port in the list and no one is selected, but you can do a print test without problems (the port exists and is assigned but you cannot see it i the list) but that makes
some problems if you are printing from external software and of course you cannot do any change in the printer like change name (because no port is assigned in the view)

The issue for example it's happening with USB printers shared in LAN.

Tried to update Windows to the last version and it's happening with different machines.
