Windows 10: Exolorer folder icon shows large blue rectangle for Desktop - what does that signify?

Using Windows 10 File Explorer. It has a default category of "Desktop" and under there Onedrive -> [my user name] -> Desktop.


The top-level Desktop has an icon that looks like this:



The inner Desktop icon looks like this:




What's the significance of the blue rectangles?


What's OneDrive - Personal - is that the Vault?


Why does Explorer show Desktop within Desktop?

I was a tad confused by the fact that Explorer showed the Solid Blue Desktop icon, and then appeared to show Desktop again, as a sub-folder of that upper level. Still think that display is kind of misleading. If not misleading, confusing.

The rectangle blue icon, that's the icon for your desktop, if you are going to click that it will show you the files and programs in your desktop.

The Onedrive is your vault , you can store your files from there and access everywhere.
