Windows 10: Expand to Open Folder stopped working

Win 11 Pro 22H3 is an improvement when installing fresh on a new drive. This report is right after the fresh install of the OS.In Explorer Folder Options\View Tab I uncheck Show Libraries, Show all folders and Show libraries. I check Expand to Open folder, Show Network, and Show This PC.I have all of my data on a separate physical drive and the OS and installed software on its own separate physical drive. I have a folder structure already on the data drive as I am dual booting Win 10 & Win 11.I pin to Quick Access some of the folders on the data drive and when I click on them they open

How to stop sharing folder for windows 10?

Referring to following link, I would like to know on how to stop sharing folder for windows 10.

I cannot find Stop Sharing option on step 5.

Use these steps to stop sharing any folder on Windows 10:

1. Open Start.
   
2. Search for Computer Management and click the top result to open the experience.
   
3. Expand the Shared Folders branch from the left pane.
   
4. Click the Shares item.
   
5. Right-click the folder that you no longer want to share and the Stop Sharing option.
   

Furthermore, ADMIN$ is found to be Remote Admin under computer management.

There is no option to stop it as well.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop sharing and remote?

How to stop auto expanding in Libraries

Hi Martin,

One of the possible reason why the folders in your libraries are automatically expanding is due to the settings within the File Explorer. To disable the automatically expanding of the folders on your library, follow these steps:

• Open File Explorer.
• Click on View tab.
• Select the Navigation Pane.
• Click on Expand to open folder.

Expand to open folder worked in 1803, doesn't work in 1903

I recently upgraded from 1803 to 1903. When I found this issue, I worked with Greg Carmack on the MS Community site, and he sent me links to this site. After I tried everything, he suggested I post the issue here. I also posted it to MS Feedback.

When I click on a link in Quick Access in Windows 10 Pro 1903 File Explorer, the contents of that folder show up in the right pane, but the navigation pane does not expand to it under This PC. This worked in 1803.

The Expand to open folder box is checked and the corresponding registry entry is set at 1. There are checks at all the other points presented in the posts from here and elsewhere. I also turned it off in the registry, restarted, turned it on, restarted, and still no joy.
