Windows 10: Experiencing Error 0xc0000005 3221225477 reason: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION

Hello!I've been experiencing crashes on two different games, both seem to be relating back to the same error. The crashes just happen suddenly and without any error warning. The two games are GTA V and Euro Truck Simulator 2.The error codes for GTA V areExit code 0xc0000005 indicates a fatal game exit reason: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATIONGame exited with code 0xc0000005 3221225477 The error code for ETS2 is Exception code: C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATIONI've been struggling to find a consistent answer in my research so far. Status_access_violation

I have an installed software tool in Windows 10 (where it used to be building software packages just fine in Windows 7) where the build is failing due to STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION exception error.

The build function is running a C29K C++ application (exe) in C:\Program Files (x86). System error below:

c29k[main] make 1000 handle_exceptions: Exception: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION

Could this be an issue with the System PATH variables? I do have full admin privileges to my WIN 10 laptop.

shd i do all 3 steps or only one of 3?

and for ram test, iso file download and burn it to cd--boot from cd will work?

can i boot same via pendrive?how?

Error code 0xc0000005

Hi Samuel,

If running your antivirus software to scan for malicious programs does not help, I suggest disabling Data Execution Prevention. It's a built-in feature on Windows for protecting your computer. Some programs may not be compatible with this feature and opening
the app or game will cause 0xc0000005 error.

To disable it, log in using an admin account and follow these steps:

1. Press Windows key + R, type sysdm.cpl and press
   Enter.
2. Click the Advanced tab > Settings button.
3. Click the Data Execution Prevention tab.
4. Select Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select.
   
5. Click Add and open the problematic executable file/game.
6. Click OK.
