As the title says the event viewer log for the unexpected system shutdown is always off by anywhere between 1-20 minutes. I don't believe it's an issue with syncing with the windows time server, as the boot logs both before and after these reboots always log that synchronization with the windows time server was successful and I've never seen the time on the computer be different from the time on my amazon wall clock on the wall above the monitor which also uses the internet to set its self. I do notice that these restarts tend to be while I'm gaming, once was during a benchmark, but they h

Lots of "Event 17 WHEA-Logger" in the events viewer leading to random shutdowns of pc

What we'r experiencing is some random shutdowns of the PC.

I was trying to look into the event viewer to check for any events before the shutting down happened but the event viewer is filled with this warning.

There are like 6 or 7 events each seconds.

Random shutdown and reboot with no real explanation

    Hi, Blaze Fulford

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the random shutdowns and reboots you've been experiencing on your system. I understand how frustrating and disruptive this issue can be, especially when it occurs during gaming sessions.

The Event ID 41 in the Event Viewer indicates that the system rebooted without cleanly shutting down first, which can be caused by various factors. While pinpointing the exact cause may require further investigation, I can provide you with some troubleshooting steps to help diagnose and resolve the issue:

    1. Check for Overheating: Ensure that your system is adequately cooled and that all fans are functioning correctly. Overheating can lead to unexpected shutdowns to protect the hardware.
    2. Update Drivers and Software: Make sure all drivers (especially graphics card drivers) and BIOS are up-to-date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause stability issues. Manufacturers often release updates that can fix problems like the one you're experiencing. You can visit your motherboard or computer manufacturer's official website to download the appropriate drivers and install them to see if the problem persists.
    3. Check the memory: Use the memory diagnostic program in Windows to test all the system memory.
      • Press Windows + R, type 'MdSched', Enter and then open 'Memory Diagnostic Tool'.
      • Tap on 'Restart now and check for problems'.
      • Follow the prompts to check, wait for it to complete, and check the report to see if any problems are detected.
    4. Review Recent Changes: If the issue started occurring after making any recent changes to your system, such as installing new software or hardware, consider reverting those changes to see if it resolves the problem.
If you continue to experience random shutdowns and reboots after following these steps, please provide us with more information, such as any error messages you see before the shutdown, recent system changes, or any other relevant details. This will help me further diagnose the issue and provide you with tailored assistance.

I'm here to help, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need further assistance.

    Best Regards
