Windows 10: "Expert" answer to why the Windows Update is Missing

This has been an ongoing question and issue on this board. After almost any MS/Windows update, when you reboot your PC, the Windows Update goes missing/comes up blank. The "expert" answer was given by some "advisor" that after an update, the previous updates are irrelevant. Wow, is this a B.S. answer. Talk about a cop-out. Of course the updates that have been installed previously in your PC are relevant! If you have ever talked to the support people, they always remotely go looking to see what updates you have installed, or look to see if you have a certain update installed based on the issue you are having. And one time this happened I contacted support and they remotely repaired the ISSUE and brought back all my updates list that had been wiped out. Support admitted this was a glitch and said he fixed it and it would never happen again. Well guess what: It happens every time you get a major update. MS doesn't want you to know what updates you have installed for some reason. That is the only explanation. If you are having a specific issue, you need to know if you have received a particular update or updates. So I know that support can find what updates have ever been iunstalled on your PC; they have done it with my PC. Just don't let them tell you they have fixed the problem and it will never happen again; the next time you get a major update, your update history will be gone again, but MS knows it is still in your PC and they can find it and restore it. They just don't want their customers to know. Keep us all ignorant, hey MS?!

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
