    Explorer Confusion

I find File Explorer in Windows 11 very confusing and I have many questions but I'll start with this one and see if it helps.I'm used to only seeing one "Desktop" folder in windows and that resided on the c drive. Now, when I open explorer in Windows 11 I have 3 Desktop folders. How can I make it so that Desktop only shows what's on the desktop of my computer? And is it possible to have it on my hard drive?Thank you so much.____________________________________________________________________________

    File Explorer is confusing

Somewhat new to Windows, after having used a Mac for several years.

I find the layout in the File Explorer very confusing.

It shows Quick Access, I see two separate Desktop listings (contents not the same), OneDrive, This PC, Libraries, My User Name.

Why are there two Desktops? Is there a way to change the layout so it's not so confusing?

    Thanks for any help!

  3. setting default view for Winodws Explorer Search Reasults

Thank you for the detailed response. To change the search result's view from content to list, we suggest following the steps below:

    • Open the File Explorer and try to search for files.
    • In the toolbar, open the View tab and click List
      to change the view.
    • Once changed, close the File Explorer.
    • Open the File Explorer again and try to search to see if the setting has been retained.

After performing the steps above, reply back to us so we can provide additional help.

  4. Explorer Confusion

    New FF - passwords

    Hi:

If that setting is already enabled, then I suggest as the next troubleshooting step might be Mozilla Safe Mode (not to be confused with Windows Safe Mode)):

Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode | Firefox Help

    • Please report back and let us know the outcome, as it will dictate the next steps.
    • Also: please tell us what AV/AM/firewall programs are you running on this system?

    Thanks,
    MM
