Windows 10: Explorer crashes for no known reason since 20H2 update

explorer seems to freeze randomly. Usually after leaving a browser window open for a few minutes without using it. Have tried a few fixes, but still crashing unpredictably. Mouse works fine and can go to another open tab if there is one and back to the first and this solves the problem. If the browser is minimised then I have to restart explorer from the task manager. Nothing works on the task bar when it crashes. and cannot open any files or apps. Seems to be happening since 20H2 update.

All updates seem to have installed.
