Windows 10: Explorer crashes whenever I open a folder

Hello, I have been having a problem recently where whenever I try to open a folder explorer crashes and reloads, making it unusable. I'm sick of having to use 7-zip, which is not meant to be used for browsing files, to browse files. Event logs says that the problem is dwmapi.dll. The exact output of the error is displayed here:

Windows 10 file explorer not working.

I can't open File Explorer, like I said. Whenever I try and open it it just crashes.

Windows 10, File explore crashes whenever I right click on a folder to (in this case) add a folder in my pictures folder. This has just started today I have never had a problem in the past.

 

I'm having exact crash problem, and it happens on mostly Metro apps.

I have tried to make a crash dump, and got the crash point:

Hi, suggest you start with the basics:
From an admin command prompt
[Windows key + X, click command prompt (admin)]
chkdsk C: /F
Your PC will need to restart.
Make sure the result is clear or fixed- else do not proceed.
Post back the result, which you can get after a restart as follows:
How do I see the results of a CHKDSK that ran on boot? - Ask Leo!

Then from an admin command prompt run
SFC /SCANNOW
and post a summary of the results.

Please add to your specs the type of laptop, your Windows build number (currently 14393.447) - obtained by Windows key + R, winver, and whether Home, Pro or other, and your disk details (min SSD/HDD).
