Windows 10: Explorer crashing when holding shift + right click on apps in taskbar.

There are certain apps that I must run as a different user and I have them pinned to my taskbar. When I hold shift on my keyboard and right click, the menu comes up but then Explorer crashes. I am on Windows 11 version 22H2 OS build 22621.3880 from a MS Surface 4.

It's a WIN 7 glitch, Registry problem. Could be caused by a lot of apps, especially AV/AS.

Windows 11 Explorer crashes with shift + right click

Anyone else notice this one? If I need to run an app as a different person, hold the shift key down and right click in the taskbar on the app, as long as you don't move the mouse until the menu appears, you're fine. If you're foolish enough to move the mouse before the menu appears, Windows Explorer freezes then crashes?

It's really annoying, but as long as I remember not to move the mouse, I'm fine. Guess how many times I forget not to move the mouse??

It happens with any Windows 11 computer I've tried it on. So I know it's not isolated to just my machine.

Anyone else see this or have a fix for it?

Download: ShellExView - Shell Extension Manager For Windows
NOTE: download version 1.97 or later, else Restart Explorer won't work in step 4

1. This program does not require installation, just right click and run as Administrator
2. From the menu, click on Options then click on Filter by Extension Type and select Context Menu. Also put check marks as shown
   
   
   
3. Click on the screen, Hold down CTRL Key+A to select all then click on the red button on top left corner to disable all.
4. Click on the Options again and select Restart Explorer
5. Now try to right click on desktop to see if it fixes your problem. If it does then start to enable one by one and repeat step 4 until the problem occurs again, that's the offending extension.
