Windows 10: Explorer crashing when launched from the Taskbar or when a Tab is added

This issue started appearing out of nowhere, I'm running the latest 2H22 build 22621.755.Basically whenever I open a folder from the Taskbar the Explorer icon it opens and after a second or two it crashes and restarts. I have to open a random folder from my desktop so that I can use Explorer. But then the issues continue - if I open a new tab in Explorer, the same thing happens - I see the spinning/loading cursor and Explorer completely crashes.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

• First unpin the File Explorer from the task bar.
• Press Windows + E.
• And right click on File Explorer in the taskbar.
• And Pin the File Explorer to Taskbar and Check if it helps.

Thanks for the reply. No this did not work.

File Explorer did launch when I pressed Windows +E, but after pinning this to the taskbar, it will not launch from there. Any other suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
