Windows 10: Explorer.exe - Application Error.

Hi, I was using my laptop when this error appeared:


The instruction at 0x00007FFCCE1936E0 referenced memory at 0x00000001B2F608. The required data was not placed into memory because of an I/O error status of 0xc000007f.



Click on OK to terminate the program.



This error appears very commonly. My taskbar turns fully blank except for the search bar. My screen flickers black rapidly and I can't use Task Manager without it either crashing or disappearing completely. I have tried theinstructions online but to no avail.


I hope there is a potential fix. Thank you for your time.

Explorer exe application error

Thank you for your help, but im sorry the problem still there, after i did the 2nd step, the scan shows if there are corrupted files, but it can't fix it and only logged the result, and the memory diagnostics says there are no error.

Also, there is a notification says

"explorer.exe - system warning

Unknown hard error"

that was provided by Deepika Gowda on October 9, 2015 through this
link. Ending the Windows Explorer process and creating a new one are
also given as troubleshooting regarding the issue.

I would like to inform that Regsvr32.exe Application Error
Codes are caused by misconfigured system files in your windows operating system or by the following reasons:

• missing or damaged or modified .dll files.
• Invalid Entry or Command path.
• Active X control errors.
• Registry issues.
• Viral or Malware Attack.

I suggest you to run SFC scan and check if it helps.

System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.

Follow the below steps:

• Right click on the Start button, click on
  Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type “sfc /scannow” without the quotes and hit
  Enter.
• After the scan, restart the computer and check for the issue.
