Windows 10: explorer.exe consumed very high virtual memory, up to almost 90 GB. can not believe it.

aafter explorer.exe high virtual memory consuming and error occurring as two images above shown, our application CMPnP.exe in first image crash! we are touble shooting on this severity problem. please help us. thanks you.

Thanks! It is Avast, AvastSvc.exe - my antivirus - and it grows and grows and grows... what do you suggest?

 

Turn of Virtual memory?

if you google it , lots of litrature suggest turning of Page file (virtual memory) if you have enough RAM for example like i have 4GB with Win XP and have almost 1 GB reserve.

They claim that because the CPU can acess the RAM faster than it can acess the virtual memory in the hrd disk your system will be faster.

What do you guys think?

Hi,

You should let Windows handle the Virtual Memory as it will increase or decrease its size on the fly (as needed). Increasing virtual memory "might" allow some programs to run more efficiently (large memory consuming programs such as Photoshop). However setting
the virtual memory too high can significantly slow down your computer.
