Windows 10: explorer.exe crashes daily, windows taskbar reloads

Hi,explorer.exe keeps crashing almost daily on my Windows 11 22H2. When it happens, the tabskbar disappears for a minute, then reloads, most of the apps change their position. I can see an event being created in Windows Application Logs and also new directory gets created under C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchiveFault bucket 0, type 5Event Name: AppHangB1Response: Not availableCab Id: 0Problem signature1: explorer.exeP2: 10.0.22621.1778P3: 38884ebdP4: cbe4P5: 33554432P6: P7: P8: P9:&

Cannot launch File Explorer from taskbar in Windows 10

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

• First unpin the File Explorer from the task bar.
• Press Windows + E.
• And right click on File Explorer in the taskbar.
• And Pin the File Explorer to Taskbar and Check if it helps.

Windows explorer crashing

Hi,

I am having the same problem as the OP in this thread.
Windows Explorer crashes whenever I open my external HDD or thumb drive in explorer..

I have tried the fixes listed in the above thread and I am getting the same error message as 'ktadie' (post 16). I think this is because I am running Windows 7 Professional. Windows explorer crashes when I open my 'Films' folder on my brand new 2tb external HDD. I have about 300 .avi files in this folder and some of the .avi files are several years old.

In short I believe I need the same fix given by 'Wile E' (post 7) but updated for Windows 7 Professional.

FILE EXPLORER CRASHES, DESKTOP RELOADS

Hi, I'm running Windows 10 and I'm having a problem with file explorer: it's not urgent (I hope), so far it's just been a mild nuisance.

Basically, everytime I try to open the file explorer THROUGH CORTANA (typed and voice activated) or ALL FILE EXPLORER ICONS (Desktop shortcut, taskbar, apps page in windows button), it crashes, and the screen goes black for an instant, then the desktop reloads,
with the icons on the desktoop and taskbar popping up again one by one.

However, I can still access my files by opening the recycle bin and going into my files from the slider-thing on the left. But when I try and right click any file in the explorer from there it crashes and does the same thing as mentioned above.

I wasn't sure if anyone else had the same problem as all the search results had very vague questiona and I wasn't sure if they would apply to my case. My PC is about a year old, it's a Lenovo E450 (In case you need this info).\

Does anyone know how to fix this?
