Windows 10: explorer.exe crashing when i open task view

Whenever I open or hover over task view explorer.exe crashes and restarts. This is all that shows in event viewer if it helpsThanks!

• Open the File Explorer and try to search for files.
• In the toolbar, open the View tab and click List
  to change the view.
• Once changed, close the File Explorer.
• Open the File Explorer again and try to search to see if the setting has been retained.

The root cause is a Windows 10 bug where File Explorer crashes when long file names are included in a search result. The steps for the workaround are:

• Open File Explorer
• Click View > Options
• Open the View tab
• Check "Always show icons, never thumbnails"
• Click OK

 

task view crashes

im having problems every time I open the task view. It crashes once I open it , I have restarted the explorer process but it doenst work. It is not a hardware problem , it is a software one. can someone help me please .
