Windows 10: Explorer.exe Help?

So, just yesterday, my screen would become a black screen, after logging in, so I reverted it back to a previous state, with worked temporarily, however, this morning, it continued to give me a black screen. I found out that it's because my explorer.exe is not running on start up in Windows 10. So every time I start my computer up, I'd have to manually run explorer.exe. I checked my regedit, and my shell does have explorer.exe labelled, but the problem persists. Can you guys help me out? I'm at my wits end here.

Smartscreen blocking an EXE

Hi,

Please answer these questions to assist you better.

• Do you get any option to save password?
• Which application are you referring to?

Follow the steps below and check if that helps.

• Right click on the shortcut or in File explorer and select Run as administrator check if that helps.
• Also observe when you type password do you get a prompt for saving password just above Taskbar.

setting default view for Winodws Explorer Search Reasults

• Open the File Explorer and try to search for files.
• In the toolbar, open the View tab and click List
  to change the view.
• Once changed, close the File Explorer.
• Open the File Explorer again and try to search to see if the setting has been retained.
