    Hello, I can't fix my explorer.exe, it continues to crash.     Cannot install Windows 11 23H2

    The build number 22631.2506 implies the device has been upgraded to 23H2 already.

    Here are the version/build numbers for Windows 11.

    • 22000.xxx is 21H2
    • 22621.xxx is 22H2
    • 22631.xxx is 23H2
    Your system is fully up-to-date. What else you're looking for?

    Windows 11 23H2 upgrade broke File Explorer, it will not run

    Good news!

    Problem seems to be fixed by 2023-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5032190) update released 11/14 that I installed on 11/15. In the Knowledge Base notes is the following under File Explorer:

    • This update addresses an issue that stops File Explorer from opening.

    It worked for me, no longer have any problems, no need to re-install (somehow I couldn't roll back 23H2 update and had no recovery point before that time).

    I have Windows 11 23h2 build 22631.2715 and some recent updates, my file explorer crashes completely when trying to open any folder/disk drive.

    I've already done sfc scannow, command prompt, cleaning cache folders, updated nvidia video driver.

    Nothing solves it just by formatting and putting 23h2 again, but days later news updates it happened again.

    Searching I saw that build 23590 DEV solves problems with the explorer.

    Are there any predictions for the user? Or any workaround?

    Every day when I turn on my PC I can no longer use any folder.
