Windows 10: Explorer.exe is slow

Hey, I have a problem. For a few months now, I've had the feeling that Explorer.exe is getting slower and slower. When I start the PC, everything is still normal except for the Recycle Bin and Task Manager and some folders. However, the longer the PC runs, the more problems I encounter. Restarting helps, but it's not a long-term solution. So the problem is that folders take longer to load, and when I move something from the desktop to a folder on the same drive, it's not displayed until I refresh the folder. Also, it remains on the desktop until I refresh it. When I click on the Recycle Bin,

I have done the steps listed above. They have not helped and I am still getting constant script errors, along with slow loading pages. Are there any other suggestions?

This seemed to help. Time will tell. It certainly is more helpful and practical than the suggestion to end toe Explorer task and start a new one.

Hi, well, I'd suggest the first entry - svchost.exe: Local system...... Look at the disk activity.

From what you've said, I understand (I think)
a. In Safe Mode launching an installation- fast response.
b. Normal boot, exe on desktop - fast
c. All else slow.
So I think that also means it's slow in explorer after a clean boot.

Please correct this if that's wrong.
