Windows 10: Explorer.exe not working with windows 10 yet is in safe mode Windows version 10.0.16299.125

WOW!!

Hi everybody, can't believe how many Windows users are having problems.

I posted a question way back concerning how i couldn't access my laptop, only in safe mode and this was after the now "infamous" Windows 10 October updates. Since then, through many,many hours of following recommended, fixes, resets, regedits etc.. was eventually able to get it all back, including getting the start option and file explorer working again. Now it seems to have given up the ghost once more. I can use safe mode to use start and file explorer and run programmes but that's it.I cannot use media player, or any programme using audio, visual and others. I have downloaded a repair registry tool along with a fix.exe windows tool to try and rectify. The repair registry removed over 500 problems on its first go and seemed to make a difference, until i go back to normal windows mode and just does its usual of taking ages, opens with desktop with black screen behind, can acess task manager to run new task but doesn't recognise explorer.exe displaying the message "An attempt was made to reference a token that does not exist" and when i click OK then displays the message "Shell:::{52205fd8-5dfb-447d-801a-d0b52f2e83e1} an attempt was made to a token that does not exist"

I have been through every repair, fix, recovery, install, re-install, reset - you name it i've tried it!!

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Windows 10 is not working even in safe mode

Hi All!
Over the past few days the start menu was not working properly and after trying to fiddle with that for a few days, i decided to reinstall windows 10. The problem with this now is that it boots up properly, but all i get is:




And the only buttons i have are "Networks" and "Ease of access" in the bottom right. Nothing else. The current build i have for W10 is 10240

If anyone could give me some insight on how to fix this i would be forever grateful!

Ps. Safe mode works but i want to be able to run it outside of safe mode without it looking like the picture above.

 

Microsoft Internet Explorer renamed to Windows Internet Explorer ?




Since version 7 of the world`s most popular web browser - Microsoft Internet Explorer was silently renamed to Windows Internet Explorer.Such a step from Microsoft is not a surprise since Internet Explorer is part of the Windows operation system for a long time.Obviously Microsoft corp. wants to state that Internet Explorer is already considered as a part of Windows and not as an external browser (remember the IE and WMP law issues last year!?).
