Windows 10: Explorer.exe restarts when pressing the TaskView button from the taskbar or the touchpad...

When i try to use TaskView, it doesn't launch and instead it lags for the next 3 seconds, then the whole UI reloads most likely to be explorer.exe I remember it working some days ago! Device specifications:Laptop: Asus Vivobook 15 2023Ram: 8GBtotal, 4GB usage when no running appSSD usage:- Disk C: 203GB out of 256GB- Disk D: 42GB out of 256GBThe laptop works perfectly fine

How to prevent touchpad minimizing window or invoking taskview & action center

I have acquired a new small windows tablet with keyboard and I am having problems using the touchpad on the keyboard.

Frequently and most annoyingly a normal single fingered movement on the touchpad will minimize my current window or cause it to switch to task view or cause the action centre to pop up.

I can find not find a setting to disable these very unhelpful short cuts, if I want to minimize a window or use taskview/action centre I will click on the button!

• I have disabled all 3/4 finger gestures
• I have searched for driver updates, none available
  
• Window 10 Home with all available updates installed

Any suggestions?

Registry updates perhaps?

 

Windwos 10 Virtual Desktop: TaskView mode immediately returns to desktop when pressing Win+Tab or TaskView icon

I like Windows 10 Virtual Desktop function. But it also made me crazy as it's working strange.

As the title suggested pressing Win+tab or TaskView icon once changes to TaskView mode.

But it immediately returns to desktop without any activity. Then pressing it once more it

stays there and I can do something on it. So to say to show TaskView mode I almost always

required pressing Win+Tab or TaskView icon twice. I'm using several Windows 10 PCs

and they are all showing same symptom.

This is really annoying and I couldn't find any solution for it.

Is there anybody suffered this kind of problem and fixed?

We appreciate the information you provided. For us to further isolate this issue, we would suggest that you try updating first the touchpad driver for your laptop by following these steps:

• Click the Start button, type "device manager" in the search box, and then select
  Device Manager.
• In the list of hardware categories, find the device that you want to update, and then double-click the device name.
• Click the Driver tab, click Update Driver, and then follow the instructions.
