Windows 10: Explorer.exe server execution failed. Cannot access File Explorer or any files.. SOS!!

Out of nowhere this failure pops up when I started my machine this morning. I'm running Windows 11 on Surface Pro 7. Machine underwent a few updates which I suspect was the cause. Everytime I clicks on the File Explorer on the taskbar, it freezes for a while then pops up an error box saying "Explorer.exe server execution failure" and right underneath is another error box "C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar"Appreciate any help!!!I'm trying my best to avoid a total wipe out...

Windows Explorer crashing due to large files

It's an .exe right? Explorer probably read its icon (to a cache) when it was a "small" file and now call the quits when it finds "such a big" file.

If you want to delete it, use the console after killing explorer, you can run the console from TaskManager (Application -> New Task -> cmd). You might want to try copy the file to a different location (copy, not cut) and see if explorer can handle it in the new location before deleting it.

Windows 10. Cannot open "Start" button, File explorer etc. Get on-screen message: "Explorer EXE. The remote procedure call failed and did not execute." What does this mean and How can I solve it?

some .exe files hang


In the last 48 hours, some .exe files do not execute. If started from explorer, explorer hangs. No error messages. These files run on another Win 10 machine. Nothing obvious in the event viewer. I note that *.exe file cannot be deleted when the system is in this state. I must reboot to regain access to the .exe file. sfc /scannnow shows no errors.

Any suggestions?
