Windows 10: explorer.exe using 90%+ of my CPU

Discus and support explorer.exe using 90%+ of my CPU in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; I don't know what causes this, but it just randomly starts even if I don't have Explorer open.     explorer.exe using 90%+ of my CPU


    I don't know what causes this, but it just randomly starts even if I don't have Explorer open. There's explorer /factory,{numbers/letters} and explorer.exe -encodedCommand letters/numbers

    Hi Sevkil. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, here to help you.

    How do you know the Explorer is taking 90% of CPU if Windows is asleep? There is no way to monitor this while it's sleeping as the only power is to the RAM to keep the session loaded.

    Once you answer this I will have steps to try to fix it.

    Explorer takes 90% CPU usage while sleeping in windows 11

    Conditions:

    1. One or more directories is opend by explorer.

    2. Laptop go into sleeping.

    Results:

    1. The explorer takes 90% CPU usage.

    2. And the CPU usage is equally divided by explorer. For examaple, there are three directories opend. Then close one directory, the CPU usage would decrease by 30%.

    The laptop is overheating. And then I awaken the computer, opend the Task Manager,found out that the Explorer is taking 90% of CPU.
