Discus and support explorer.exe in Windows 10 Support to solve the problem; upon trying to restart my system i keep getting the error message the instruction at memory 0x0000000000000000 could not be read.     File Explorer crash when creating new folder

    I tried clean boot but it still crashing.

    I also tried safe mod and it still crashing.

    I debug explorer.exe with visual studio and this is the output window content:

  3. Clock or Time missing in Taskbar after lock screen but it will appear again if i restart/log off

    as an intermediate resolution. Each time i face this issue, i ran this batch file to restart explorer.exe

    taskkill /IM explorer.exe /F

    It's a known error in build 10130... in later builds(10147) it's been fixed but a work around way is to setup a shortcut on your desktop with this command in it:

    shutdown /s /t 0

  5. it's a known issue - just click OK when you shutdown.

    Some members do not see the error if they use the WinX shutdown (right click the taskbar Windows logo - select shutdonw or sign out)

    Right click on Windows icon works. Although just clicking okay works too. And you're right, it will be fixed eventually. It's just not a priority at this point.
