    Explorer keeps crashing every few seconds


    Hello, I have a problem with my pc, im running windows 10 pro, today it started to crash every frew seconds, when i open a window in explorer, it suddenly crashes.I checked on event viewer and the following errors prompted:Faulting application name: Explorer.EXE, version: 10.0.19041.662, time stamp: 0x996782f8Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 10.0.19041.662, time stamp: 0x27bfa5f0Exception code: 0xc0000005Fault offset: 0x000000000004bdfeFaulting process id: 0x1850Faulting

    File explorer keeps crashing in Win 10

    Hello,

    I did the steps you wrote. All the settings were as you suggested. The File Explorer keeps crashing.

    Explorer crashing

    Thanks Zat. I had never looked at event viewer and it had more info than I thought. Seems the problem was a second computer I was trying to network with. Unplugging the ethernet cable fixed the crashes. Explorer must have been looking in the wrong place I guess.

    Open a terminal by typing CMD in the search. than type or copy paste

    sfc /scannow

    This will take a bit of time

    I noticed you are using Norton 360 antivirus. I suggest shutting down Norton and keep it off on a reboot see if the windows explorer stops crashing.
