  1. Explorer slows down DRAMATICALLY when interacting with .ogg files in any way.

Whenever I try to view .ogg files in explorer it slows to the point of almost being frozen, it doesn't ever crash, or even register as "not responding", but goes into an extreme slowdown, taking about 5 for each .ogg file in the current directory before becoming interactable again, it doesn't respond to any clicks during this period, and has to be closed with task manager.

I've tried disabling shell extensions, uninstalling codecs, and removing file assocations, to no avail.

any help would be tremendously appreciated, <3.

  2. .ogg files continuously crash the entire Windows Explorer whenever selected.

Any time I select a .ogg file be it left-click or right-click, the entire Windows Explorer hangs and I have to restart it with Task Manager. Again, this goes for any file in the .ogg format. Sometimes just visiting the folder a .ogg file is enough to crash
Windows Explorer! Is there a way to fix the issue? Or at the very least delete the .ogg files without File Explorer? Thank you!

    Unable to move .ogg files

It only lists Windows Explorer as a lock, and if I try to run it it says it successfully unlocked however it doesn't fix it.

Strangely though, .ogx files work now, although .oga and .ogg files are still broken.

painfully slow file operations on ogg and opus files

deleting/moving ogg or opus files is painfully slow, like freezing-for-a-few-minutes slow, not running slow. and it seems to be the explorer's problem because every other software works with these files just fine, import, edit, export, as usual, it's just
the explorer that has these problems and with only these 2 types of file. weirdly enough, these problems go away when i completely disable paging but i can't just do that, it's not safe to work without paging at all.

    here's the OS info

    Edition : Windows 10 pro

    Version : 1903

    OS build : 18362.329

the music player is also default (groove music) in case it involves.

    any help would be appreciated.
