Windows 10: Explorer won't load after Win 11 Update, Laptop Unusable

So, my laptop Acer Nitro 5, running Win 11 just did a system update, and since then, it won't properly load. It brings up the Windows login screen, but then the desktop either won't load at all black screen, cursor with loading icon or alternates flashing between desktop and black screen.If the latter, I can't interact with any desktop icons, and the taskbar and system tray are missing entirely.I THINK it's a Windows Explorer problem, but can't open anything eg, command prompt, settings, etc to change anything. Explorer won't load after Win 11 Update, Laptop Unusable

So, my laptop (Acer Nitro 5, running Win 11) just did a system update, and since then, it won't properly load. It brings up the Windows login screen, but then the desktop either won't load at all (black screen, cursor with loading icon) or alternates flashing between desktop and black screen.

If the latter, I can't interact with any desktop icons, and the taskbar and system tray are missing entirely.

I THINK it's a Windows Explorer problem, but can't open anything (eg, command prompt, settings, etc) to change anything. If I hit Win+L, I get the usual lock/login screen, but only options are restart/shut down, which doesn't seem to help.

I can bring up Task Manager via Ctrl+Shift+Esc, but if I try to run a new task (eg, settings, Explorer.exe, etc) nothing opens.

I also don't seem to be able to FULLY shut down now - even if I long press the power button to force a shut down, when I turn it back on, it goes straight from Acer logo to Windows login screen, without any chance to get into the BIOS.

Any ideas what might be going on, or how to fix it when I can't access anything on the system?
