Windows 10: ExplorerFrame.dll, explorer.exe, ms-settings:

After updating Windows 10 recently, several issues occurred. First of all, I cannot open start menu and I cannot search anything. Secondly, I cannot run ms-settings: in run command because it says package could not be found. I tried regsvr32 ExplorerFrame.dll in cmd and it said it was loaded but entry point could not be found. I restarted computer and explorer.exe several times and still nothing works and I cannot get into windows update section without ms-settings:. Please help me solve this issue. Thanks.

UT3.EXE Kernel32.DLL error

Kernell32.dll is not the piece being shut down, it is UT3.EXE with mod name kernel32.dll.

I suggest that you perform the steps below and check if it helps resolve the issue.

• Uninstall all those apps (using revo uninstaller) which are giving you msvcr100.dll and msvcp100.dll files missing error
• Open the link below

And download and install Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4.

3. Download VSU_4\vcredist_x64.exe if you’ll be installing this on Windows 10 64bit.

4. Download VSU_4\vcredist_x86.exe if you’ll be installing this on Windows 10 32bit.

Error: ucrtbase.terminate not located in the dynamic link library api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll

Open elevated cmd.
Type the following command: regsvr32 /u api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll.
Type the following command: regsvr32 /i api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll.
Close cmd. Shut down. Restart.

That being said, I also did a registry cleaning, and it also had a pending update that went through that was apparently awaiting a full shut down. It might very well have just been that.

Microsoft can nudge all they want, I'm keeping this older model laptop on 7, it's not powerful enough for the bloat of 10. I was very near to running a sfc scan (I was going to make that my last thing to set it to do before retiring to bed for the night) and then putting the windows disc in and repairing the install like you suggested tomorrow if the sfc repair didn't work.
