Windows 10: 'Extend' display not working on Windows 11 Laptop

I connected my laptop Windows 11 to my TV, using an HDMI cable, and turned on 'Extend' mode. But only the wallpaper showed up on my TV, and none of the apps, taskbar, or anything. However, when I turned duplicate screen, everything did show up. I want to use 'Extend' option. Please help.

Screen Extend on 2 laptops not working

Hi, I recently tried extending my current laptop screen to the 2nd laptop using "Project this PC" option on Windows 10.
-I watched several tutorials from YouTube but still didn't work.
-It seems the laptops discovery mode on the both Laptops was failing.
-I rebooted the laptops and toggled the settings in display property, pressing Windows + P to bring the extend Screen options and this is the step where both PCs were failing to get discovered.
-Both laptops are using Windows 10. Same Wifi internet.
-I also installed separate App from Asus called "GlideX" which is specifically designed to share/extend screens on Asus or any other laptop/ mobile device but that also failed.
-In project this PC at display setting there is option to screen share if "pc is plugged in" I unchecked that also but still not available.
After taking extensive steps now I am looking forward to get feedback from professionals?

 

Windows 11 extended display randomly switches off.

I have a Windows 11 Helios 300 laptop with an Nvidia 2060.

It was working fine with an extended display but recently the extended display randomly turns on and off. If I set it to duplicate this stops. The only fix I have is restarting the laptop but then again after some time, the problem comes back when the display is on the extended mode.

 

Extending Screen to Laptop

Pressing MS KEY + P brings up PROJECT which shows display options PC screen only, Duplicate, Extend, Second screen only. After selecting Extent I then click on the “Connect to a wireless display”. Then I select my laptop that is listed.

That has worked well in the past, but the during a session a few days ago the connection dropped and I have not seen my laptop in the list since.

I have not found any steps to take that actually address this issue.
