    Hi All,I have got a few 2008 servers, that I want to install and activate ESU. I was able to activate ESU on some of the servers, however, I was not able to activate on others. All the serves are in the same VLAN and same network security is applied to them. All got internet and got same DNS. However, only a few server, came up with an error "0x80072ee7. The server name and address could not be resolved" I have try resetting "netsh winsock show catalog" and "netsh int ip reset" however, no luck.Any advise on this is highly appreciated.ThanksNikhil

    Error 0x80072ee7 while installing updates

    Hi,

    The 0x80072EE7 error code may occur if the client computer cannot find the correct IP address when it tries to resolve a URL for the Windows Update Web site or for the Microsoft Update Web site. This error may occur if the Hosts file contains a static IP address.
    You can follow the steps in this
    link     and go to the section, 0x80072EE7 error code, to have this issue resolved.

    Error 0x80072ee7 while synchronizing contacts (10.2.2001.2000) on Windows10 mobile 1709, build 10.0.15254.541.

    I'm attempting to synchronize contacts through with a CalDav server.

    I am able to open the url with the contact data using Edge, but the Contacts App throws error 0x80072ee7.

    Looking at the discussions so far, it seems to relate to a name resolution error.

    Thus, I replaced the server name by its IP-address in the Account Settings (Settings -> Accounts -> Email-Accounts -> Select the Account and Change Settings -> Options for Synchronisation -> Extended Settings -> Contatsserver (CardDAV)

    But error 0x80072ee7 persists.

    Any hint on how to further debug this error is welcome.
