Windows 10: Extending display suddenly broke after changing resolution

I have been using 2 monitors with no issue on windows 11. One is at 1440p and the other at 1080p. Tried changing the resolution on one of the monitors to 2160p which it turned out to not support. After this, I cannot extend the display on both monitors. Duplicating and viewing on each monitor at a time works fine. But if both are extended, one of the monitors loses signal and then reconnects, and loses signal again. I have tried unplugging the cables from the monitors, restarted the PC and upgraded the graphics driver with no difference. The resolution on both screens is back to what it origin

Display resolution keeps changing

Hi Rick,

It might be caused by a faulty driver that's why your display resolution keeps changing. We
suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the display driver, see steps below:

• Press Windows key + X and click on
  Device Manager.
• For graphics cards, expand the Display adapters category, right click your graphics card and select Uninstall.
• Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.

Resolution of extended display

When I connect my pc to a full hd resolution (1920 x 1080) tv as extended display, the pc reccommends resolution of hd ready (1366 x 768) and not hd (1920 x 1080).

Also if I manually select the extended display resolution to 1920 x 1080, the texts become smaller and blurred.

This happens with a 32 inch tv I have purchased to use as extended display.

However when same pc is connected to my 50 inch hd tv, the picture is perfect.

For both tvs, I am using display port to hdmi connection.
