Windows 10: Extending Ethernet to remote building 35m away

I need advice in designing a way to get internet access from one building to another 90 feet away and clear line of sight. I am able to use a catenary wire between the two buildings.
Present setup.
Main building
BT Hub3 2.4 GHz as the main router with a Belkin N600 DB wireless N+ router (Model F9K1102v1) as an AP connected via cat5 and situated in the loft at the other end of the building.

Proposed extension of Ethernet to other building 35 meters away.
My intention is to extend cat5 cable from the loft of the main building via catenary wire to the remote building as I cannot run another cable from the existing BT Hub5 Ethernet as all ports are now in use and in any case it is extremely difficult to run a cable within the building.
At the end of the existing cable I wish to use this cable to be able to use it connect an AP and extend the internet to the remote building. I do not know if this is possible with the use of RJ45 coupler F to F and Data-Data RJ45 Splitters or do I have to use other method?
Or would I need a Ethernet hub or switch.

Would appreciate any advice on how to achieve extending internet from the BT Hub to the remote build with cat5e external cable. A sketch or diagram describing how to achieve it would be most helpful. *Redface

N95 Video Playback

I've tried numerous different files, rencoded new ones and still get the same problem. Get great quality picture, good movie files, but won't play past the 35m:46s

Even recorded nothing with video camera for 40mins and still get the same problem - allway at 35m:46s

extend wifi range from windows ethernet

Hey guyz

Please help me out in setting up the network on window 10 to extend the wifi range

1. I have a window 10 laptop connected to the Wifi internet of the building

2. i have a old wifi modem connected to the pc through ethernet (lan) port

( my modem has only one LAN Port )

Now what i want to do is to connect the pc and the old wifi modem with ethernet cable and then share the wifi internet to modem via windows so that modem can further extend the wifi range.

please let me know if it possible.

 

I would use cat6 never found spliters to work very well you need a router or switch which will give it a boost as well are you trying 100meg or 1000 meg. Its better underground in air it can be effected by frost & heat

 

I can use Cat6 for external cable but I cannot change the already run cable which is cat5e, so having to connect a cat5e to cat6 may not be the thing to do.

That is what I am asking but where has it got to be positioned and connected to?

This is for ADSL broadband not Gigabit.

I'm afraid that is not possible, I would need to dig across a road!

 

You are making it too complicated.

You just need two cheap routers with 4 or more lan ports (4 is standard)

Preconfigure each with following

Lan IP set static and in same sub node as bt router

Eg if BT router is 192.168.1.254, then set router 1 as 192.168.1.253, and router 2 as 192.168.1.252.

you may need to alter dhcp range in BT router so above addresses are static.

Disable dhcp in each router.

1) Connect BT hub to router 1 via lan port to lan port.

2) connect router 2 to router 1 with ethernet via lan port to lan port.

This will leave two ports on router 1 for use and three ports on router 2.

Eech router can be set up with WiFi as well. You should set each router with one of channels 1,6 or 11 but diiferent (eg BT uses channel 1, router 1 uses 6 and router 2 uses 11)

The password and ssid can be same or different as you prefer.

You are the second person of a "few" whom I have asked that have suggested a simple and workable solution.

I have asked in other supposedly "network technical experts forums" and they all suggested complicated setups with antennae, and all sorts of different equipment to use which is why I then became very confused.

Like I said you are the second person suggesting the same simpler configuration.
