Windows 10: External drive

I back up my computer with an external drive. The first disk Acronis became full so I bought a second larger disk. When I plug the older disk into a port, the port shows up as "E" drive. When I back out and plug the new disk into the port the computer cannot find it - no "E" drive shows up. Acronis knows it is a different disk but will not back-up to it. I assume this is because windows doesn't recognize it. Any help or suggestions?

• Just to confirm, the device that is not working properly is a external DVD optical drive?
• Were there any recent changes or updates installed on your computer?
• Have you tried to plug the external drive to a different port on your computer?

• Type “Troubleshooting” in the Search bar and press Enter.

External Hard Drive

• Open your External Hard Drive file in File Explorer.
• Type the name of the file you want to search on the search box and click Enter.

The file will show up in Search Results and you will be able to move it to the correct folder.
