Windows 10: External drives shown twice in File Explorer

Discus and support External drives shown twice in File Explorer in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; I'm running Windows 10 Pro, Build 10586.71.     External drives shown twice in File Explorer


    I'm running Windows 10 Pro, Build 10586.71. Can anyone give me an explanation as to why I have my external hard drives showing twice in File Explorer (see Attachment)

    I've had this since the first install of Win 10, and it's driving me nuts.

    Windows 10 Backup Not recognizing Seagate Desk External Drive

    My external hard drive is shown on file explorer but when I try to back up files with file history, file history doesn't recognize the hard drive.

    Each time after a windows update, my file explorer will display my external drives twice on the left hand side of the display pane.
