Windows 10: external DVD burner instantly aborts when burning to disc starts

external DVD burner instantly aborts when burning to disc starts..but not 1 but 2 others even the internal drive.be buggered if i can figure this out.i pretty certain its nothing to do with the optical drives.Windows 10Toshiba Tecra c50eok i'm using CD BurnerXP but i've used Cybelink Media Suite, File Manager,even Magix Movie Edit Pro 24 which the dvd was created in. MEP easily creates an ISO file perfectly but i can't transfer the files to disc this afternoon i tried MEP to disk it created the files but aborted when beginning to write to the disk.The Disks are prefect and they even are recogn

Burning photos to a CD Disc

Hi Jimmy,

We suggest that you use Windows Media Player to burn the images. Please follow the steps below:

• Open Windows Media Player.
• In the Player Library > Burn tab > select
  Burn options.
• Choose Audio CD or Data CD or DVD.
• Insert a blank disc into your CD or DVD burner. (Select the drive you want to use if your PC has more than one CD or DVD drive)
• Search for the items in your Player Library that you want to burn to the disc, and then drag them to the list pane (on the right side of the Player Library) to create a burn list.
• When you're finished with the list, select Start burn.

Note: If necessary, click the Clear list button to remove all items from the previous burn list.

DVD Burner won't burn.

No DVD Burner in win10

Hi. Thank you for your quick response. I downloaded the suggested programme and was able to produce the necessary VOB files. I could not get the burner to work however. Although the programme recognises my burner as per screen, my PC tell me to insert a disc. I have used both my H and I drives, and also tried DVD+RW and DVD-R, both of which are compatible with the programme. Bree ( a forum guru), also suggested using DVD style.I downloaded that but got the same result. I know that you may not be clued up on the particular software, could there be an issue with the drives? when I check the device manager, things seem to be okay. I just feel that I am missing a step somewhere. When I used win 7, I didnt think about what I was doing, it just happened
