Windows 10: External hard drive file transfer says "Items remaining: 0" while there are still GBs of...

Hello,

My Office 365 Personal subscription expired, so I just got finished with importing all of my OneDrive files to my external drive. Whenever I try to move those files to a different location in the drive, the file transfer eventually just says "Items remaining: 0" while there are still 37 GBs of data that haven't been transferred. I know that sometimes it gradually adds files to the queue instead of it all being moved constantly, but how can I fix this?

We suggest that you try the troubleshooting steps below:

• Open your External Hard Drive file in File Explorer.
• Type the name of the file you want to search on the search box and click Enter.

The file will show up in Search Results and you will be able to move it to the correct folder.

I will give these steps a try and see if I have any luck.

Multiple files I have previously transferred to this hard drive are much larger than 4 GB with no issues.

I am trying to transfer multiple image folders of all different sizes, I am getting the error message on all file sizes.

Transferring to a 5 TB external hard drive and have not seen this issue before.
