    External hard drive slowing down pc and very slow downloads.


    I had an external hard drive that worked great until suddenly whenever it was plugged in my Pc would run very slow and I could not download anything on the external hard drive, so I threw it out and got a new one, but I am having the same problem on the new one. Help me!!!!!

    "Z", I have to ask - how does this slow-down a system?

    (I need to know where you got this information so I can verify it, because I nearly CONSTANTLY have an external USB 2.0 SATA connected external disk (running a WD Raptor 74gb 10,000 rpm 8mb buffered SATA hdd) attached to my machines! It's storage for downloads & such, etc. here...)

    * I am NOT trying to "confront you" on facts here, but, I need verification of this!

    (I.E.-> I may have been "hosing myself" on benchmark tests here, because of it nearly always being connected up to my system here...)

    Slow hard drive

    I don't know how it slows it down, I just know that windows goes crazy if I have my USB drive in my computer while trying to boot windows *Laugh :laugh:. And I got the list trick off of Wazzledoozle.

    Hello! I have this external Hard Drive Intenso Memory Case 2,5" USB 3.0 1TB

    When i move files from my PC to the DISK i dont have a good speed! I can say the move speed is terrible! Of curse
    i have connected to USB 3.0 Port! Check the images!
