Windows 10: External Harddrive Format

Hello,I have a Seagate 1TB external hard drive that I used to use on my Mac.My Mac is very old so and we've switched to a HP using Windows, and I'm trying to access the photos stored on my hard drive but having difficulties.I followed some online advice regarding setting up partitions to be able to use between Mac/Windows. This allowed me to allocate other partitions and use those partitions. But I can't find the files that were already stored on here. The part of my hard drive where I think my files are stored are shown as below. I can't change anything on this partition, nor access it from

Cancelled format of a harddrive

I was recently in the process of formatting an external harddrive with the built-in windows 10 function (through right clicking) but i was forced to cancel it because of an impending exam... Now windows is unable to interact with or re-format the drive
to a working state, i have tried multiple times but it fails every time and my computer refuses to interact with the drive.

Is there any way to get my harddrive working again?

I would suggest you to follow the below steps to format the drive you are referring to.

• Right Click on Start menu and select Open Computer Management.
  
• 
  In the left pane, under Storage, click Disk Management.
  
• 
  Right-click the volume that you want to format, and then click Format.
  
• 
  To format the volume with the default settings, in the Format dialog box, click
  OK, and then click OK again.
  

Note: You cannot format a disk or partition that is currently in use, including the partition that contains Windows.
