    External HDD(Toshiba 1TB) is showing error


    Hello,


    I'm facing issue while i'm connecting my external HDD to laptop(windows10).


    1- Device is not accessable in file explorer.

    2- In device management it's showing following error in properties:-


    ""USB_3.0&Rev_5438\20180920001783C&0 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match.""


    3- I checked driver and it's latest.

    4- I tried in other laptop also but it's same .



    Kindly resolve my Query.

    External HDD not recognized

    Your Toshiba must be "KaPut" as Toshiba HDD are notorious for failure! I had an external 2015
    Model: HDTB110AK3BA Canvio Basics 3.0 Plus 1TB and it gave up after only 3 months of usage. There is not much you can do except do the following:

    1) Don't open it

    2) Don't do anything that they suggest online to fix HDD's as it will break yours!

    3) Take it to a renowned HDD specialist that will properly retrieve your data (if it can be done so?) and you will get all you data back.

    Note: To take a HDD to have its data properly retrieved will cost you probably more than the HDD is worth but, if your data is worth it, then do it.

    1tb Fat32 external hdd

    Hello all.

    My windows can't open my 1tb fat32 external hdd. It formats it to some other thing. I need it to be fat32 so I could connect it to my ps3. Is there an alternate option to windows file ?
